Moroj Adil
The first Saudi woman to race a bicycle for a living.
Moroj Adil was born in Makkah and grew up surrounded by a family that always encouraged her to explore, dream, and follow what she loved. Her father was at the heart of that journey, sharing different hobbies with her, encouraging her curiosity, and teaching her to never be afraid of finding her own path. She discovered cycling in 2022, and what began as a new passion soon became something much greater. The bike became her way forward, a place to turn loss into strength and pain into purpose.
Later that year she entered the NEOM Titan Desert, a four hundred kilometre mountain bike stage race across Saudi terrain, on a downhill bike unsuited to the course. She missed the time cuts. She went back the following year and finished third in the women's overall.
In 2024 she signed a professional contract after a training camp in Europe and moved to Girona for the season. She races internationally and represents Saudi Arabia on the national team.
Between races she works with young riders at home, including training clinics and children's races around the AlUla Tour.

In her words
The most important thing I have learnt from my journey is to create opportunities for the new generation. To open doors for them, to give everyone the chance to explore their interests, to find their limits and to challenge themselves. That's what I hope to do for young athletes from Saudi Arabia.
